My Christmas present to myself this year was a Nikon D3200 DSLR. Yesterday, I took a little trip to Boiceville along route 212 to take some test shots. The camera has 13 modes, and I wanted to see how they compared. So, I stopped at a couple of locations to take the same pic in each of the 13 modes. Here's a streamside pic:
I applied the Auto Tone filter in Photoshop. Don't know how, but that filter really brings up the color and resolution.
I've been looking through the menus on the D3200 to see if the info on each picture will display... that is, I'd like to know the mode and other shooting stats for each pic. So far, I haven't been able to discover that functionality, but I think it's there.
I also took a series of shots of this shop at the little shopping mall in Boiceville.
Once again, I applied the Auto Tone filter in Photoshop.
I'm impressed with the pic density and resolution in the D3200. It's also very easy to use.
Today, the blizzard is rolling in. Yet another shooting condition right outside my house. Haven't had a sunny day yet to try out the camera.
I've acquired quite a few new methods of acquiring images... the Wacom drawing tablet, pencil sketching, drawing directly into the computer and, now, the Nikon D3200.
Gotta figure out how to make this work to the benefit of the Old Dawgz PR effort.
Congratulations on your new camera. Happy New Year btw.
