Over 60 years old? Those old crowns and bridges in your mouth are probably decaying and need replacing. The cost is staggering… up to $10,000 for a tooth implant. Why not take a Dental Implant Holiday in the Philippines?
Last time I was in Cebu, dental care cost about 10% of similar care in the U.S. You have to be very careful in choosing a dentist. Don’t go to an office in the shantytowns or you may not emerge from your appointment alive. But, in the downtown and university neighborhoods, you will find very good care. That implant will only cost you $1,000. (Caveat... you must haggle over prices. No prices are fixed in the Philippines.) So, take that other $9,000 and have a great vacation in a tropical paradise.
Airfare to Cebu from Newark International is about $2,000. That leaves you with $7,000 for a first class vacation. You could spend a few of months in a nice resort. Boracay Island is particularly beautiful.
Escape that awful U.S. winter and visit in January, during the Sinulog Festival, held to honor the Baby Jesus. The girls will be dressed in beautiful folk costumes, and they’ll all be as beautiful as the girl in the picture above. Guaranteed.
I am at the age where I had an onlay and a crown done to two of my back teeth. My dentist said they should last 40 years, so I should be able to wait til my 80s to get them replaced.
I would like to visit the Philipines some day.
