I felt vaguely cranky this morning. Had to search for a place to step up on each curb to avoid plunging my feet into a pool of icy, dirty slush.
When I turned on the computer at work, I found this in the e-mail. The Karaoke Queen is so corny, but she does always improve my spirits.
Hard to know what to get the Queen for Valentine’s Day. She’s on a perpetual diet, doesn’t want a box of candy, and thinks that a dozen roses is a waste of money. So, we’re going out to Charlie Brown’s for dinner, one of the few places where she’ll actually eat the food. (She knows the local health inspector. Doesn’t think much of the cleanliness of most of the local eateries.)
The Karaoke Queen belongs to the Handshake Club, and she’s earned enough bonus points for $20 toward dinner. So, I can’t even spring for the entire bill for dinner.
Help me out here, boys. What should I do? Keep it clean.
Perfume.

Charley Brown's is the Queen's choice.
The salad bar is good, and they broil a decent steak.
I'd prefer something more upscale, but it's the Queen's day.

charlie browns is pretty good. at least the quality is consistant. you really don't get too much for your money however. it's pretty inside there though.
for better steaks try steve's sizzling steaks on rt. 17 south.
the crow's nest on 17 south has charlie brown type food and larger portions.
greenfields brazilian barbecue in hackensack has the best salad bar.
