I sang this hymn for 8 a.m. Mass at St. John's in Woodstock this morning. It's a great song, with a tough range. Recorded it to my Zoom R-24. The keyboard is a Wurli patch on my Kurzweil PC2X. Once again, I applied the FX in Adobe Soundbooth.
How Can I Keep From Singing?
Singing for Mass is an entirely different style than singing in a blues or rock band. I'm working on singing with greater control, which means better intonation and fewer peaks and valleys in my volume. Tough!
The Dawgz will be meeting for a recording session next Sunday and we'll be using my Zoom R-24. Big Joe's son, Little Joe, will be the engineer. I'd better learn a hell of a lot more about the Zoom by then.
I've recorded a few hymns now. You can access those hymns by click on the "hymns" link below this post, or by clicking on this link.
