I’m announcing a couple of new recording projects, just to nail down those Old Dawgz and get them moving. We’re ready to record our working demo, and we’re going to be making some funny videos for those demos, too. And, I’m going to be starting a new solo recording project.
Time to get those Old Dawgz out of the kennel and get them started walking on a leash. Big Joe has promised to look around for some gigs. We sound good. Maybe, we can even make a little bit of dough and buy the boys a new bone. We may not have Mike the Mutt playing drums for us much longer, because he may be moving to Florida. So, we need move our asses.
Somebody (I don’t know who) has been buying my CDs at CD Baby and downloading my songs from iTunes. I’m making a little bit of money, so I figure I might as well expand the line.
For a long time, I’ve wanted to put together a piano bar act based on the great rock keyboard players. To me, those players are Elton John, Billy Joel, Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis and Leon Russell. I’ve put together a list of 24 songs written or performed by these giants of the keyboard, and I’m going to record my own versions.
I’m hoping to sell some CDs and songs on iTunes, and maybe develop a piano bar act out of this project.
Big ambitions. Big plans. Got to get to work.
Maybe, I'll put down the piano song tracks at Midnight Modulation in Woodstock. Mike Bitterman has a great grand piano.
