YouPorn Eats Your Computer

This just had to happen, didn’t it?

Caution… Before you click on the link to YouPorn, think about this. I navigated to YouPorn once and I immediately began to experience changes in my browser. Porn sites are great places to contract viruses and spyware, and YouPorn appears to be no exception.

YouPorn allows users to upload homemade porn. According to Wikipedia, YouPorn has no business relationship with YouTube. YouPorn, founded in 2006, appears to be owned by a German company.

I discovered YouPorn when I checked out website rankings on Alexa. YouTube is ranked fourth in the U.S. YouPorn is ranked 34th. That means that the porn site gets one hell of a lot of traffic.

YouPorn does not seem to compress video as YouTube does. Full size video eats up bandwidth. Wikipedia reports that the YouPorn site often experiences service interruptions as a result.

I don’t have any moral opinions about this site. Porn has completely won the battle of the marketplace. I can rent a hardcore porn video from Time-Warner Cable. Sexual behavior that only a decade ago was considered shameful and hidden now parades right out there in public. Does this affect relationships and marriages? You bet!

Here’s a great article on the financial impact of YouPorn. Moral of the story: the amateurs are driving the pros out of business.

I don't think that's true. The majority of people who buy expensive porn do so because they want to see a person they feel is attractive. Like Jenna Jameson, for example....the only thing this cuts down on is the "fluff" pornos, the $5 porns that are cheap and crudely edited. There will always be "pro" stars.

Yes, Porn search engines are great. One site for all video. I like www.tubemonsoon.com - you can watch and download clips directly. I must never go to youporn to watch the clips. Youporn, Redtube, xtube, tube8, maxporn and much more are supported.

There used to be a mass of clone porn tube type sites but youleak.com is the new Dutch version of youporn and I can tell you that this site does knock the spots off the rest. Some of the stuff on there cannot be found anywhere else but be warned the Dutch do not hold back with what they show which may not be to everyones liking.
