Can you imagine how this cartoon managed to offend anybody?

You know, I don’t give much of a damned about contro-
versy. I haven’t got a clue how people get themselves wound up to argue about the daily outrage.
In the midst of the Cartoon Jihad, however, any attempt at humor seems likely to provoke a lethal response. Malaysia News Online published this cartoon in the New Straits Times. Muslims rioted in Singapore over the publication of the cartoon. Michelle Malkin covers the laughable outcome. The News Straits Times apologizes “unreservedly.”
My thoughts about where this is all leading were summarized in this article. Thanks to Steve Sailer for the link. Key quote: The U.S. is attempting to impose “… feminism and soon, no doubt, gay rights on Iraq and Afghanistan with American bayonets.”
While I am a good patriotic American, I have an uneasy feeling that the U.S. will lose this war over the long run. Hope I’m wrong.
Oh, well, I don’t have that long left to walk this earth. What does it matter to me if New York City goes up in flames in 50 or 100 years? Think Sodom and Gomorrah. There’s nothing ahead of me but the grave. In the meantime, I mean to have a good time.
