Why in the world is the skyline of New York City dotted with these water towers?
I bought a telephoto lens for my Canon Digital Rebel… 160 bucks. I thought I’d try it out this morning on my way to the gym. Took this picture as I sat on the approach to the Holland Tunnel in Jersey City. In another life, I will photograph the gritty industrial netherworld of Jersey City.
I was listening to the Outlaw Country channel on Sirius Radio. For some reason, the DJs on Outlaw play a lot of Dylan. I guess that’s because of his work with Johnny Cash. “If Not For You” this morning. God, I can’t stand to listen to Dylan! I’m one of those. But, it’s a great song. Just listen to the George Harrison version and save yourself the whining.
The DJ plays truck driving songs on either side of Dylan. “Exit 109” tells the story of a trucker’s stop at a hooker’s house along the freeway. And, I especially like, “Screw You, We’re From Texas” by Ray Wylie Hubbard.
Readers… what are all these damned water towers about?
