White Men Can Jump!

Just as Illini fans were getting cocky, the Illini get shot down by Iowa 63-48. I publicly and formally apologize to Iowa’s white boys, particularly Greg Brunner.

All of Illinois’ offensive weaknesses were exposed by the Hawkeyes.  Brian Randle and Sean Pruitt were reluctant to shoot the ball.  The two man offense of Dee Brown and James Augustine wasn’t enough.

And the Illini’s over reliance on perimeter shooting finally caught up with them.  Dee shot 2 for 13 for the day.  What in the world happened to Marcus Arnold?  I don’t even remember seeing him in the game.

Let’s see if Coach Weber can regroup the boys for next Saturday’s game against Michigan.
