Orange County Father

PaulsrWhen I boarded my America West flight to Phoenix last Wednesday morning, I walked past the first class seats and encountered Paul Teutle, the fighting father of Orange County Choppers.

He really does have huge biceps, tattoos and a big moustache.

I smiled when I saw him sitting there.  The show may appear to be about motorcycles, but it is really about the relationships between Pops and his two sons, Mikey and Paul, Jr.  He seems like a wonderful father.

“Hello,” I said to Pops and he said the same back to me.

“Just saw one of your bikes at the Dutchess County car show,” I told him.

And I continued to my seat.  I returned in a few moments to hassle him a little more.  I gave him my business card for this weblog.

“Excuse me for the interruption,” I said.

He took the card and looked at it for a moment.

On the way out of the plane, I walked right into Mikey, the younger son.

“The whole family’s here,” I said.

And, I handed him my card.  What the hell are you supposed to do when you meet famous people?  I used to meet them a lot in the music business.  My strategy then was to keep it normal.  So, I tried to keep it pretty normal with the Teutles.  Hope they visit the weblog.
