Tell It Like It Is
Something about an attractive Filipino woman making it big in the U.S. really gets a leftist’s dander up. One of them just lost his job for sending a ferociously vicious e-mail to Michelle Malkin from his company computer. I went through the same with my wife, a Filipina. Check out the story here.
You see, Filipino women are supposed to be grateful to leftists for... what?
What’s really at issue here is the desire of many Filipino women to marry white American men, and the equal desire of many white American men to marry a Filipino woman. This is the politically incorrect interracial marriage. Filipino women, despite the left’s determination to stereotype them as submissive bar girls, are usually well educated, professional achievers. Often they are quite exotic and beautiful, like Ms. Malkin. Tough competition for the heart of a man.
And, this is the crux of the anger at Ms. Malkin... and, not incidently, against my late wife.
I really don’t care a whit about politics, but I sure like this Michelle Malkin. She’s tough, smart, productive and patriotic in the old fashioned way. Good for her. And, she's ranked #3 on the truth laid bear. And, she’s mighty nice to look at, too. No wonder they’re so jealous of her.

The newly unemployed Mr. Mitchell isn't the only jerk who went all politically incorrect on the lovely Michelle. The most vulgar and racist of the three emails Ms. Malkin received came from Dan Opacki, who appears to be the guy on this page -- "a student at the University of Massachusetts, a freelance writer, and a contributor to the New York-based Jews Against the Occupation" who opined on the Amherst NPR affiliate (no, public radio doesn't lean left) about Israel's bloody hands (click here to hear his commentary in his own voice [.wma file]).

So when Malkin says that it was OK to intern Japanese during World War II, should we just say, "Oh well, she's a Filipina woman, let's let it pass?"
When she says that John Keery shot himself in the leg despite no evidence, should she get a pass?
Should we forgive her for saying that the woman in Texas (who lost her son and is protesting the war) is a terrorist sympathizer?
The woman can't get a pass if there are legitimate things to complain about.
You see her through a very selective filter because of your hard on for Filipina women. I know they are tough, I was raised by one, but that doesn’t give Malkin a pass.
The reality is the left has extremists and the right has extremists. For every Michael Moore there is a Michelle Malkin.
Being Filipina and being hot doesn't change that.
Also, who are these people that are crapping on her for being a Filipina woman? I hear people attack here for her comments, but never for being a Filipino woman.
If that the case, then why does the left attack Ann Coulter? If you say, well because she’s a woman, then what about Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.
Michelle Malkin is just like her counterparts on the left. She believes she is correct about everything and there is no wiggle room for discussion.
Here’s my suggestion: Let’s have Michael Moore eat her and then maybe we’ll end up with a reasonable centrist person.

"If that the case, then why does the left attack Ann Coulter? If you say, well because she’s a woman"
Yet there ARE those lingering doubts about Ann Coulter's actual gender :)

Good point.

I need to clarify: The Dan Opacki of the U. of Mass wrote Malkin to say he is NOT the guy who sent the vulgar email. There's no way to know for sure over the WWW, so maybe it would be a good idea to delink the address I provided.
Michelle has added Opacki's email on her site.

I defy Buddha and Peter illustrate the relevance of the emails Malkin reprinted to opposition to her controversial political stances.
Knock yourselves out, boys.

I'll get right on that LN Smithee.
Not.

Is it too much though to ask people to stop slurring minorities on the right?

The politically correct interracial marriage is a black man with a white woman, a hispanic man with a white woman, an asian man with a white woman, or anyone with a Jew.
